According to a 2012 issue of Coastal Living Magazine, Jupiter, Florida is among the top ten happiest seaside towns in America. Any homeowner or recent visitor can tell you that this comes as no surprise. As a result, the hot Jupiter real estate market always has plenty of listings for both homes for sale and condos for sale (or for seasonal vacation rental). This coastal town boasts many attractions and points of interest. The historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse is both a major landmark and the town’s main symbol, complete with a panoramic view from the top. Those who enjoy being active will be drawn to the kayaking opportunities on the Loxahatchee River or the multiple beach trails and parks which are perfect for hiking, including the scenic palm tree-lined Dubois Park.  Sports fans, particularly those who are fond of baseball, are sure to enjoy the fact that the town’s Roger Dean Stadium serves as the Spring Training facility to MLB teams such as the Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals. And of course, residents and tourists alike flock to Jupiter for its infamous beaches (which are popular with both surfers and species of sea turtles who use these beaches as hatching grounds a must-see for families). Attractions aside, this Palm Beach County town is also lauded for its proximity to two major airports: Palm Beach International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Approximately 60,681 currently call this town a home, 81 percent of which are homeowners. The median age is 42 years old and the community boasts small Spanish and Italian speaking communities. Families make up roughly 26 percent of the population and are served by the local school system, which provides public K-12 education along with various private and religious schools. Florida Atlantic University is also in the area as an option for those seeking higher education. Also of note are three operational fire stations and an expansive full-service police department. Crime is statistically very low in the area. Other public services at the disposal of residents include public transportation in the form of the Palm Tran bus system and the Tri-Rail railway line which connects commuters with the nearby locales of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.

If you’re in search of a laid-back seaside haven that’s bursting with eco gems and coastal recreational opportunities, along with excellent shopping opportunities and public amenities, then this south Floridian locale may be just what you’re looking for.
